Julian  is a foreign exchange student from Ulm, Germany (the southwest corner of the country) who is living with us from August 2002 until July of 2003.  We will use this page to help him share his adventures with his friends all over the world.

Julian arrived just a few days after we had returned from Europe.  We did not have time to finish getting his room ready so he had to help us with the painting.  His school had already started when he arrived so he didn't have much time to get used to Arizona living before he was thrust into the middle of it.  Julian had no trouble with the transition.  His English was excellent and he has such an outgoing personality that he fit in right away. 

He even started to appreciate the extreme desert heat (except when riding the school bus in the afternoon).  He quickly grew to love coming home from school and jumping in the pool.  Then he would take a nap in the grass and maybe go swimming a little more.  He says that he is going to do whatever he can to convince his parents in Germany that they should get a pool too.
